STAR Program Recipients Spring 2024

The STAR Program offers Columbia Law School administrative staff a way to acknowledge and express appreciation for co-workers who make a difference in their everyday work life.

Spring 2024

These are the recipients of the Staff Appreciation and Recognition (STAR) Program for the Spring 2024. Winners  receive a $2,000 award and a standing crystal STAR as a signal of the school’s appreciation.

Jessica Copland consistently goes above and beyond in every aspect of her work. With grace and compassion, she supports a range of important tasks at the Law School, and consistently contributes to a culture of respect. She is humble and gracious, and is truly deserving of recognition for her hard work, patience, and diligence. She often stays after hours, which further demonstrates her commitment to producing high quality work. Jessica’s contributions to a collaborative and kind environment are immeasurable; she is truly a fantastic resource to all of us here at the Law School.

Dina is being recognized for her contribution and dedication to not only the Human Resources department, but the Law School as a whole. As the point person for all student casual hires, as well as welcoming our new administrative staff, she is always more than patient, kind, and helpful in all that she does. She takes her work very seriously and is committed to providing the best service to her colleagues across all levels at the Law School. She is beyond considerate and always willing to go the extra mile to make those around her feel welcomed and helped.  Dina is well-deserving of the STAR Award for her consistent and continuous genuineness and devotion to her role.

Elizabeth's efforts have had a profound and far-reaching impact on the entire Jerome Greene Hall community. Her dedication to ensuring that her colleagues can continue to perform their duties with minimal disruption speaks volumes about her selflessness and commitment to service. Moreover, Elizabeth embodies the spirit of citizenship in everything she does. She is deeply committed to the well-being of our community and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that the needs of all stakeholders are addressed. Her unwavering dedication to transparent communication, collaborative problem-solving, and inclusivity has helped to foster a sense of unity and purpose among all those who are fortunate to work with her. Beyond her impressive technical skills and strategic acumen, Elizabeth's professionalism and integrity shine through in every interaction. She is a natural leader, a consummate team player, and a trusted advisor who commands respect and admiration from colleagues at all levels makes Elizabeth deserving of the Star Award.
