These are the recipients of the Staff Appreciation and Recognition (STAR) Program for the Spring 2019. In addition to being recognized at our Law School staff luncheon, recipients will receive $2,000 and a crystal STAR award as a signal of the school’s appreciation.
Anna Lynch-McNamara

Anna is recognized for her tireless efforts supporting the Law School and its community as it navigates business transactions necessary to operate smoothly. Often a first point of contact in the Business Office, Anna translates complex financial procedures and policies into to easy-to-understand steps. Extremely dedicated and knowledgeable, Anna has a unique ability to use her sense of humor and cheerful disposition to resolve even the most difficult of situations in a calm and collected manner. It is for these reasons that she has earned respect and praise from her colleagues.
Brooke Ruskaup

For the past six years, Brooke has shown unwavering dedication to her work and to her colleagues. Most recently, her strengths came to the forefront when the Law School was in the midst of two major—the 25th anniversary of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's investiture to the U.S. Supreme Court and the West Coast launch of The Campaign for Columbia Law. Brooke showed leadership, innovation, and an astute ability to manage and work across University and external teams, producing seamless, successful, and high-quality events. Brooke is widely respected for many positive traits, but most of all for being such a highly effective professional and collaborative colleague.
Rubecca Nulchand

Rubecca serves a critical role in ensuring the smooth and seamless execution of the Law School's events and building service operations. Her professionalism, proactive outreach, expertise in coordinating between internal and external stakeholders, and dedication to her work were noted as defining traits worthy of recognition. Rubecca constantly does her best to anticipate issues that may arise. She is resilient and calm under pressure, and never fails to approach others with a consistently friendly and helpful attitude.
